Rooms

Interior designed and decorated by the massria’s owner, the interior of this spectacular building is decorated sympathetically to compliment it’s clean lines, resulting in a chic modern rustic farmhouse with all the luxuries. Soft shades of chalk white, dove grey and ivory contrasted with hints of dramatic charcoal creates a cool, calm and relaxing haven. All of the materials used are sourced locally including the handmade bathroom units and mirrors in Calabrian walnut, the flagstone flooring and pietra leccese stone used for the fireplaces are quarried locally.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
All the bedrooms have traditional farmhouse windows and handmade shutters, and thanks to the maseria’s thick stone walls, means that the rooms are cool and shaded during the day and perfect if you want to have a siesta.

The en-suite bathrooms all feature Philip Stark fittings, large walk-in showers with oversized rain dance shower heads, handmade sink units, and beautiful stone tiles.

Bedroom 1 (Master bedroom): this room is accessed directly from the courtyard through french style doors which are set back under the cloisters.  This large room has a 1.8mx2m size four poster bed, a fabulous free standing copper bath at the end of the bed, plenty of shelving behind oak doors and views direct to the olive grove.  Two sliding doors lead into a large dressing room which has tons of hanging space for your holiday wardrobe and there is a spectacular stone fireplace.  The connecting rooms are ideal if you want to keep an eye on your little ones.  A cot or bed can be provided on request.  There is a large en-suite bathroom with a large walk in shower and double sink unit.
Main Bathroom: Designed with children in mind, there is a low level bath and rubber ducks!  A baby’s bath can be provided on request. This bathroom can also serve as an en-suite to the dressing room if used as a bedroom if required.
Bedroom Two: Accessed directly from the courtyard through French style doors, this room is a large double room set back under the cloisters. There is a 1.8mx2m four poster bed, wardrobe and dressing table. This room looks onto the olive grove. The en-suite shower room has a walk in shower, rain dance shower head and handmade sink unit.

Annex
Bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 are both located within the courtyard and is separate from the main house (a 10 second walk) perfect for those who want privacy or for two families sharing. The annex  has its own private entrance and courtyard which overlooks the vine covered arbour and pool. 

Bedroom three: there is a 1.4mx2m four poster bed with a linen canopy, a wardrobe, and bedside table with drawers and a table.  French doors to a private courtyard and a window to the olive grove.  Bedroom four: there are twin beds in this room (can be made up as a double on request), a bedside cupboard with shelves and a wardrobe,  French doors to the courtyard and a window overlooking the olive grove.  
Main bathroom: the bathroom has a walk in shower behind a glass screen, rain dance drench shower head and handmade sink unit.

Living Space

Kitchen: Set under a dramatic vaulted ceiling, this 13 meter long room is open plan.  The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a SMEG range cooker and over head extractor fan.  There is a large dining table seating eight and an antique larder cupboard filled with life’s essentials, crockery, cutlery, salad bowls, wine glasses, you name it we’ve got it covered.   There are french style doors that lead to the covered alfresco dining area by the pool connected via the shaded cloisters. 

Utility Room: Leading directly off the kitchen, there is a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and American fridge freezer.

Living room: The entertainment system has an LCD screen with surround sound speakers and DVD player.  There are two sofas, two armchairs and a coffee table, help yourself to books, games, DVD’s and CD’s.  For cooler nights, there is a huge open fireplace, wood is provided.

Outdoor

Gardens: There are 5 acres of privately owned olive grove with dry stone walls and fencing.  The trees are so old that some of them have split trunks that  you can climb into, perfect for hide and seek. 

Poolside: The pool is 15m x 5m and is 1.2m deep throughout.  The outdoor living area has a three seater sofa, two armchairs, and a coffee table.  Ideal for evening drinks set amongst lemon trees with a beautiful vista looking back onto the masseria.

Outdoor kitchen: Dining for 10 under a shaded pergola, very large stone island for prepping, wood burning oven (wood provided), BBQ, sink and herb garden.

Roof Terrace: 360 panoramic roof terrace with views overlooking the countryside and a stunning old masseria.  Seating for 10, a great place for early evening drinks to take in the dramatic sunsets.

Parking: Ample parking for 6+ cars or so along the long gravelled driveway within electric operated gates.
